BRITISH luger Adam Rosen today demanded that competition tracks must be made slower to avoid a repeat of the accident that killed Georgian Olympic racer Nodar Kumaritashvili.
Rosen spoke out after finishing 16th in the men's luge which was won by German Felix Loch.
The track at the Whistler replica hublot watches Sliding Centre was the fastest ever with competitors reaching speeds of up to 90mph. Following Kumaritashvili's death, the course was shortened and the pillars he smashed into after the final bend were covered with safety hoardings.
Rosen said: "I've heard they won't build tracks as fast as this in the future. This was a really, really fast track Clip on charms and I don't think we will encounter anything like this again in the future. That has to be a good thing."
