At the risk of being patronizing to Deb Henry (Readers' Forum, July 14) and the other oilophobics out there, almost all industrial processes, including tar sands extraction, have nasty byproducts. Where do they come from? Nature. What is critical is Replica Cartier Watches not that we have problems, but how and where they are taken care of. If it is not in my house or my water supply, then it is probably not a big deal.

Demanding that everything everywhere be clean and pristine is unreasonable and flatly impossible. Oil is the least expensive and best mass energy source available. This is not an oil-industry plot. Dependable and cheap energy is essential for our lives. Let's just use some common sense.
